Hospice and Palliative Care Services
Hospice Services provide care for the terminally ill client who has exhausted treatment options, or chooses to stop treatment. Palliative care is for individuals with serious illness who may or may not be undergoing curative treatment. The focus of both Hospice and Palliative Care Services is to provide care that promotes comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
Our role with Hospice & Palliative Care Services
Stedfast Home Care Services, LLC can provide additional support and care to clients receiving Hospice or Palliative care services. A nurse will perform a review of the hospice or palliative care orders, treatment plans, and work with the client and/or family to develop a personalized service care plan that works with hospice or palliative care to provide additional personal care, symptom management, and support needed during this stage of illness. Our caregivers can assist with activities of daily living- feeding, bathing, grooming, toileting, mobility, positioning- as well as household tasks. A nurse will make routine visits to ensure the provided services meet the client’s ever-changing needs. We make it a priority to maintain open lines of communication with the client, family, hospice, or palliative care team, as well as other members of the health care team. With our support, the family can focus on supporting and spending quality time with their loved one.
