What will it cost to have home care services?
The cost is dependent on the type of service needed and the frequency of the visits. Home Care Services is more cost effective to the consumer than the other services for living in other facilities; i.e. Assisted Living, Personal Care and Nursing Home.

What is the difference between hourly and live-in?
An hourly assignment can be whatever is requested by the client; for example, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm or even 8:00 am – 10:00 am. We can configure assignments to meet any need. However, sometimes a client needs someone with them all day and night. This is called a “Live-in” assignment. The aide actually stays in the client’s home and sleeps in the evening. How do you measure quality of service/care provided?
There will be constant communication and a formal service interview that will be done at least quarterly. Client satisfaction surveys will be done as well. We encourage all types of feedback from our consumer in order to ensure we deliver quality care and service.

Will I need to sign a contract?
The state of Georgia requires that clients sign several forms or contracts. Our contracts do not obligate you to receive care for any period of time, nor do we ever require a deposit.

If your mother is having a problem controlling her blood sugar and has seen her doctor recently, you may want to call her doctor for a script for home health services for diabetes management. We will also make recommendations to you/family for higher level of care and treatment, and assist with that transfer. Our staff is trained to observe and report immediately when there is a change in you/your family member condition.

What should I do if my Mom on service with Stedfast doesn't feel well?
In the event of a serious medical emergency, the patient should be taken to the hospital emergency room. Stedfast Home Care does not operate as an emergency service; therefore, valuable time may be lost by contacting the Agency for a serious emergency such as a diabetic coma, severe chest pain, unconsciousness, etc.
